Dear autism parents and guardians,
We are collecting digital images of real-life children and adults with autism that we can use in materials and presentations created by National Council on Severe Autism (NCSA) and its board of directors and agents for purposes of awareness, education and advocacy.
The use of the images would solely be “generic” in nature — they would not be accompanied by any identifying information. For example, a group of photos may be used on a “leave-behind” provided to a lawmaker, or a blogpost about needs for long-term care, or a slide presentation about increasing autism rates or profound autism. It helps to show faces instead of just data and graphs.
If you have legal authority to provide us with digital images of your loved one(s) — any size in png or jpg format preferably — we would appreciate your sharing one or two with us.
By submitting images you agree that you have legal authority to do so and that you grant NCSA and its board members and agents permission to use them in materials related to NCSA’s mission, that you expect no compensation, and that you hold NCSA and its board members and agents harmless from any injury or damage resulting from use of the image(s). You grant them the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to use your minor childrens’/adult charges’ likeness, image as such may be embodied in any photos, digital images, and the like, submitted by you. You agree NCSA, its board, and agents may use said material for any purpose consistent with their missions. These uses include, but are not limited to, videos, publications, advertisements, news releases, brochures, Web sites, and any promotional or educational materials in any medium. You release and discharge NCSA, its board and agents from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the images you submit, including any and all claims for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, misappropriation or misuse of image, and/or defamation. You represent that you are over the age of eighteen (18) years and have read the foregoing and fully understand its contents.
If you agree to the above, please submit photos by attaching them to an email here.
If you do not agree, please do not submit any photos.
We greatly appreciate your help raising awareness of severe and profound autism!
