Recorded on August 26, 2021
You can watch the webinar on YouTube here or below
This presentation outlines what the federal law expects schools to teach individuals with autism as part of an appropriate transition plan to prepare them to transition out of school and into the "real" world. We will:
• translate the law into common core components to an appropriate transition plan
• identify the common barriers to most program's ability to provide them
• offer practical tips to navigate those barriers so that you get the transition program you are entitled to under the law
• suggest what you should do about it if the school refuses to provide an appropriate transition plan
• show you what the outcomes can look as the result of an appropriate transition plan having been in place
