Your Voice Counts! Tell us what you want to see prioritized in 2025.
The NCSA Policy Committee worked hard all year by listening to the community at the state and local levels while trying to decipher what matters most to individuals, caregivers and families affected by severe forms of autism and related disorders.
Of course, there are many areas of concern. In order for us to be most successful, we have to choose up to four of the most pressing issues facing our community. This does not mean we will not continue advocating on the many issues that NCSA has firmly defended. (See our Position Statements for more info.) These top four will absorb our greatest focus in 2025, however.
In November, the Policy Committee voted on their four top priorities. In December, the Board of Directors received the committee’s recommendations. Now, we want to hear from YOU!
An important factor to note is that we are in a transition period with a new administration and Congress incoming in January. Due to that, we will not have a definitive understanding of the legislative priorities of Congress until mid-January to early February. Thus, we must maintain flexibility to pivot if the need arises. That shouldn’t stop us from setting our own goals, though!
Please participate in this brief poll. Your voice matters! If you have other ideas that aren’t on the list, please submit your ideas to policy@ncsautism.org for consideration.
